Time Flies!

The one who holds it altogether, the Oracle.
Darby and Olivia, the cutest little sister-pack in the world - READY TO DESTROY!
I love this photo, It's the big BIG sister holding the little LITTLE sister.
And next, is Xoe, along with Xanthe, the prettiest twins I've EVER seen in my life.
Me, next to the over-looking Virgin Mary, above the bridge my Great-Great-Grandfather Jose Maria Villa engineered.
I can't believe how much time has flown since my last post. If I remember correctly, since my last post, Xanthe and Xoe spent a month with us, Darby turned 4, Miriam was born, I started hair school, Darby AND Olivia started preschool, Kathleen got a little bit of her sanity back (as a result of Darby and Olivia going to preschool), and I went to Colombia to see my dying grandma (on my dad side). Crazy. Crazy. Crazy. Anyhow, here I am, Olivia's going to turn 3 and Miriam's going to be 3 months. How time flies! Well, I have to dig deep and find time to elaborate on each of the events mentioned above - but not now. Instead, I'll post some pictures. Enjoy!

Deer Creek Fishing!

So on Saturday we (Kathleen, Darby, Olivia and I) got invited to go fishing on Brian's (Kathleen's brother's) boat. It's an all aluminum fishing boat and the thing kicks tail! Below are some more pictures that either me or Kathleen took. We had a lot of fun. We caught 9 rainbow trout and they tasted pretty darn good when we got home and fried them up. Weather was perfect. Kids handled everything really well too - which helps tons. Enjoy!

Arches National Park - April 26th

So a couple of weeks ago my friend and neighbor Bob Bushman suggested we go on a road trip to Arches National Park. All I can say is look at the pictures (not the best quality-camera phone, what do you expect? And no, I don't own a good digital camera), more than a thousand words in my opinion. Unbelievable scenery. The pictures don't do the natural beauty justice. It was an awesome experience. The weather and company (Bob's two sons, Ike and Tyler) was great. Can't wait to do it with all of my girls. Enjoy!

Visit to Vegas

So, a few weeks back Kathleen and I went to Las Vegas to visit my sister Claudia and rendevouz with my Mom, Dad and Brother there at her place. The occasion arose and I snapped a picture of the Villa Family. The opportunity to take this picture was a choice one. We all live in different parts of the country and not every one has the means to fly for a formal reunion. So needless to say, I was happy and we had a good time. I love my family. We're not perfect; we all have our faults, but the most important thing is, we try.

My New Blog!

So here it is, my very own blog. I hope to keep you up to date by posting words, pictures or videos of what's going in my world. I do have another blog for me and Kathleen, but wanted one for my own. First things first. You may wonder why my name has a "J." in front of it. Well, many of you don't know that my first given name is Juan. Yes, Juan. Not that I don't like it. But, according to the story told to me by my Mother, it was never meant to be any part of my name. Mom only wanted "Christian Villa", until my Dad was persuaded by some wicked little witch roaming the hospital floors convinced him that, "every little boy should carry their father's first name! " Mom and Dad fought (publicly) in the hospital and as a compromise I was stuck with "JUAN Christian Villa". So, my Dad's name is Juan, my brother's name is John (Juan in english) and my name is...you get the picture. Have never used the name, but I now I keep it as a compromising reminder. So, if Kathleen and I ever fight or argue about naming a daughter (if you haven't heard, that's all I'm capable of producing), then we'll settle on "Juan (girl's name) Villa".
